Ecofest Barrie is a community collaboration that brings together individuals and organizations from many walks of life under the common theme of building a sustainable future. We come together to celebrate nature and share ideas on protecting our planet while creating a healthy, prosperous, inclusive community.

Back To Basics Social Developments have taken over the hosting and development of this event as a local not for profit organization who will offer related environmental programs, ongoing, beyond the two day festival. Doug's vision and dream for the festival is coming true.
This year's festival offers something for everyone. Our cafe will be a lush, green setting to enjoy fresh meals prepared with ingredients sourced locally. Free programming throughout the event will feature cooking demonstrations, healthy living talks, live music from local artists, a special Green Mile featuring alternative transportation options, green artisans and businesses and discussions with decision makers on local environmental issues. Bring the kids to enjoy our Kids Zone with a live hip-hop performer, games and crafts. Trashfusion, our alternative fashion design competition, should not be missed!

All materials to be shown at the festival must pass our GREEN INSPECTION and will
be subject to removal without prejudice or harm intended. We are a Green Festival and
we ask that you respect the following:
The following items will not be allowed: Styrofoam, Plastic Water Bottles, Hand distributed flyers (other than those previously approved), plastic bags, plastic utensils. Please do not post any bills or signs outside of your own presentation area.
Smoking is not permitted on the Festival Grounds and there is to be no Idling on Festival property.
